About X-ING CANCER, INC.

Our Mission
"Advancing cancer research, treatment, and awareness that will lead to more successful outcomes for mankind"

X-ING CANCER, INC. is a Louisiana non-profit corporation created in 2024.  The corporation applied for and received federal income tax exemption as a 501(c)(3) organization from the U.S. Department of Treasury, Internal Revenue Service in October of 2024.

This non-profit corporation has been established for educational and charitable purposes, with a mission of advancing cancer research, treatment, and awareness that will lead to more successful outcomes for mankind.  Integral to this mission is the purpose of conducting fundraising activities to further its goals.

X-ING CANCER, INC. is an all-volunteer organization with no paid staff or employees.  We strive to maintain any fixed costs at a minimum to assure that our charitable recipients receive as much of the revenue generated as possible.

At this time, the One Man Shoot is the corporation’s singular project.  This annual event has been held 9 times over the years, with the funds generated going to the work of Dr. Oliver Sartor and his team, who are world-renowned for the research and treatment of advanced prostate cancer.  In prior years, Dr. Sartor was affiliated with Tulane Cancer Center and that organization maintained the 501(c)(3) status for charitable tax exemption.  Although changes in the New Orleans hospital industry resulted in Dr. Sartor’s departure from Tulane Cancer Center, he and his team continue to advance his groundbreaking work in the field of prostate cancer.

In order to raise funds that can be directed to Dr. Sartor’s work in this evolving medical landscape, there was the need to create a new non-profit organization, not affiliated with a specific hospital, that could direct the funding where needed.  That is a primary reason that X-ING CANCER, INC. was created.

In 2025, X-ING CANCER, INC. is planning, promoting, and conducting the One Man Shoot with a legion of volunteers and supporters, old and new.  In addition to funding Dr. Sartor’s work, a portion of the 2025 funds will go to a Baton Rouge based organization that is directly engaged in the fight against prostate cancer.

In the future, the corporation may be able to expand into more projects that will further its mission in the fight against cancer.
